What is Biodegradable Compostable Modified Resin?
Biodegradable compostable resin is a type of biobased made from renewable, natural materials such as corn starch, potato starch, sugarcane, or cellulose derived from wood or agricultural waste. These materials are broken down into a pulp or powder form and then combined with other additives such as vegetable oils, resins, and waxes to process into various shapes modified raw material granules.
Those biodegradable compostable resins are widely applied in blown film, injection, extrusion such as shopping bags, organic waste bags, food packaging, straws, lid cups, disposable plates, forks products, etc.
Compostable resins are designed to break down quickly and completely when composted under specific conditions, usually within 60-180 days.
